Dr. Lin completed her medical degree and undergraduate work at Stanford University. She did her general surgical residency at University of California, San Francisco and vascular fellowship at New York-Presbyterian, the University Hospital of Columbia and Cornell University, in New York City. She is board-certified in General and Vascular Surgery.
Dr. Lin has been part of the mid-Peninsula medical community since 2006. She has been pivotal in introducing the latest in advanced vascular devices, equipment and procedures to Mills-Peninsula. She is experienced in the treatment of aneurysms, occlusive disease, stroke prevention, dialysis access and embolotherapies. She is also committed to functional limb restoration, including amputee care.
Her philosophy for patient care is to apply evidence-based treatment tailored to each unique patient to achieve maximal, durable results, yet always remembering the human side of illness and the Hippocratic oath to avoid harm and injustice.
The fundamental cornerstones of her approach in medicine and surgery are collaboration, sincerity, preparation and precision.
Dr. Lin is the Vice-chair of the Department of Surgery at Mills-Peninsula Medical Center and is in charge of quality assurance review for the department. She is a member of hospital committees focused on patient safety and quality care, physician wellness, and value management for supplies and equipment.
Dr. Lin is passionate about international health and has helped organize multiple medical missions to the Philippines, Guatemala, Peru and Uganda. She speaks Spanish and has basic understanding of Mandarin. Her hobbies include scuba diving, reading and travel. She enjoys good food, good wine and good friends.
