Dr. Clayton Bavor is originally from Illinois. He completed the honors program in medical education at Northwestern University in Chicago, earning his medical degree. During that time, he did clinical clerkships in England at Guys Hospital located in London, and at Oxford University School of Medicine. He did his residency in Internal Medicine and his fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine.
Dr. Bavor is board certified in both Cardiovascular Medicine and Internal Medicine. As a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Stanford University he taught at medical school for many years. His primary practice is at El Camino Hospital. He emphasizes prevention of cardiovascular disease. Dr. Bavor believes in a team approach with patients, making certain there is active dialogue and understanding between patient and cardiologist.
