More about Dr. De

Ajanta De, MD FACC is an Interventional Cardiologist. She specializes in coronary, structural and peripheral vascular disease interventions. She completed a six year medical program at Northeast Ohio Medical University, then completed residency, chief residency and fellowships at the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center and the University of Chicago Hospitals. After six years in practice, Dr. De moved to Silicon Valley to gain additional training in Endovascular Interventions and completed the Advanced Endovascular Fellowship at the Fogarty Institute for Innovation at El Camino Hospital. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Vascular Medicine and Endovascular Medicine. She is also a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation.

Dr. De performs the following procedures: Coronary stenting, Peripheral vascular (Femoral, carotid, renal, mesenteric, subclavian) stenting, Pacemakers and Implantable loop Recorders (ILR), Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), Mitra clip, Patent foramen ovale (PFO) closures, Watchman left atrial appendage (LAA) closures, Cardiomems, Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) repairs, Intraaortic balloon pumps (IABP), Impella and superficial venous ablations.

Dr De is actively involved in the ST elevation myocardial infarction programs at El Camino Hospital and Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula. Dr De is actively engaged in medical research and device innovation. She is the sub-principle investigator for the PQ bypass trial. She was also the co- principle investigator for the Low risk TAVR trial at El Camino Hospital. She is a consultant for medical
device companies.

Dr. De was raised in Irvine, CA. She enjoys tennis, traveling, hiking with her husband and dogs and the
culinary arts.
